Operating Modes
Default Mode — normal Gigabit Ethernet switching.
VLAN Mode — isolates ports 1–16 from each other while retaining communication with the Uplink interfaces.
Extend Mode — applies to ports 9–16 and extends Ethernet/PoE transmission up to 250 m using Cat.5e or better cable, while limiting those ports to 10 Mbps.
PoE Watchdog — monitors connected PoE devices. If a client stops transmitting data for approximately five minutes, the Switch can restart the corresponding PoE port.
Cudy specifically warns against enabling Watchdog for devices performing an online automatic firmware upgrade.
